How to Get from Belgrade Airport to the City Centre

The transport from the Belgrade Airport to your accommodation or another place in the city of Belgrade is safely provided for tourists. At the same time, you are able to choose between several options, depending on your budget and how much luggage you have.

There is a public, as well as a private kind of transportation. The public transportation involves an airport shuttle provided by Air Serbia (former known as Jat Airways) or a regular bus and both depart directly from the Belgrade Airport whereas the private consists in taking a taxi.

Rent a car Belgrade Airport

There are several car rental companies that have offices right at the Belgrade Airport. You can make a reservation online so that you will have the car waiting for you when you arrive.

Some of the car rental companies that offer these services are Europcar, Sixt and Avis. If you book the car prior to your arrival, you will be able to save some money.

Belgrade Airport Bus

From the Belgrade Airport you can either take the airport shuttle provided by Air Serbia (former known as Jat Airways) or the regular public bus.

The A1 minibus is available every hour from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM and the final stop is Slavija square which is in the center area of Belgrade. The price for the ride is around 2,60 Euro and you can pay the money to the driver directly. To take this shuttle back to the Belgrade Airport, you will have to go to the station at Slavija hotel and a shuttle is available every hour between 5:00 AM and 9:00 PM.

Belgrade Airport Bus

There is also a number 72 bus that leaves the Belgrade Airport every half an hour and the final stop is close to the Zeleni Venac in the center of Belgrade. There are a few stops in Belgrade on the way until the last one in the city center. The price for the ticket varies depending on where you buy it from. If you buy it from the bus driver it’s more expensive, around 1 Euro whereas purchasing it from a newspaper stand will only cost you approximately 0,50 euro.

Taxi Belgrade

The taxi service at Belgrade Airport is safely and very well organized. You just have to go to the Arrivals hall where you will see an information stand with the sign “Taxi” on it.

This is a computerized system where you state the place that you want to be taken to. Once you have done that, you will get a voucher that will state the price for your ride.
